Brooke Anderson
To say that Brooke Anderson brings spunk and flair to the Serafin team would be an understatement. When our clients need our communications services on the spot, from crisis management to event promotion, Brooke often is the creative, energizing force behind our successful strategy.
When Brooke enters the communications equation, she commands attention. Whether her audience is a boardroom of corporate executives or a sidewalk of grassroots organizers, Brooke works with an uncanny charm, curiosity and enthusiasm. She is unassuming and down to earth, yet a confident and focused communicator who consistently delivers results for our diverse clientele.
"I'm 24/7!" she says. "There are so many ways to absorb news and knowledge these days that I rarely can tear myself away."
Brooke accents her experience in public relations with a deep knowledge and passion for new media. She recently completed a master's degree in journalism at DePaul University, where she studied broadcast and multimedia in addition to traditional news reporting. In her spare time, Brooke also is an avid blogger and Twitterer; she takes a strong interest in local, state and national politics.
The South Florida native joined Serafin & Associates, Inc., in 2008 after spending about five months assisting the press secretary for the Illinois Republican Party. Among other clients at Serafin, she works to serve the needs of a state agency advocating for individuals with developmental disabilities, as well as the nation's largest retailer.
Brooke launched her career as an Account Executive at South Florida PR agency, The Gab Group, where she handled strategic media outreach and advising for three luxury lifestyle brands. Responsible for coordinating celebrity events which drew hundreds of attendees, Brooke also was a frequent contributor to Florida publications like CitySmart Magazine and Deerfield Beach Magazine, covering everything from the latest fitness regimes to cutting-edge spa treatments and recreational activities.
Brooke attained her B.A in Communications with a focus in Radio/Television at Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina, where she played basketball for the Women's team on full athletic scholarship. During the summer of her junior year in college, Brooke sharpened her broadcast skills while assisting at the news desk at WPBF-TV, the ABC affiliate in West Palm Beach. She also hosted her own sports radio newscast at Gardner-Webb.
Brooke's other interests include running, basketball, other sports, classical music, politics, nutrition, reading, shopping for Maltese puppies and going to church. She roots first for the Miami Dolphins, and second for the Chicago Bears.
